Elio Coria

Specialized critics have singled him out as one of the most relevant pianistic voices of his generation, highlighting the intensity of his interpretations, a remarkable sonic power, and a technical command that allows him to approach the most important works in the repertoire with total creative freedom. He has been awarded the Premio Revelación Musical by the Argentine Association of Music Critics, and has received distinctions at the Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition (Chile), the Martha Argerich Presents Project (Switzerland), the Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão (Brazil), and the Concours International de Musique de Chambre d'Illzach (France).

His concerts have taken him to leading festivals such as the Festival International de Piano de La Roque d'Anthéron, the Swiss Chamber Music Festival in Adelboden, the Lacmus Festival in Como, the Festival de Piano de Porrentruy, the Académie Musicale de Villecroze, and the Ciclo Joven of the Fundación Juan March in Madrid. He has performed in iconic venues such as the Théâtre de La Monnaie, the Palais des Beaux-Arts Bozar, and the Royal Palace of Brussels, where he has given concerts for the King and Queen of the Belgians. His performances have been broadcast by France Musique, RTBF, and RTS. He maintains an active presence in Latin America — Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Bolivia — and throughout Europe.

He has worked alongside leading artists such as Martha Argerich, María João Pires, Daniel Rivera, Nelson Goerner, Louis Lortie, the Quatuor Ebène, the Quatuor Ysaÿe, the Artemis Quartett, and the Trio Wanderer. He trained at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne with Ricardo Castro and at the Hochschule der Künste in Zurich with Christoph Berner, on a scholarship from the Mozarteum Argentino.

The current season combines recitals, chamber music, and orchestral projects in Europe and Argentina, as he prepares for the complete performance of Liszt's Transcendental Études and Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto, two culminating works of the universal piano repertoire.
